I'm not saying that you should commit crimes worthy of your local police station' "Vice Squad". I'm talking about some food, or an indulgent activity, that may (or may not) be healthy, but it just makes you feel good.
Mine, right now, is Pizza.
I REALLY enjoy a good pizza. For me, it is the ultimate comfort food and if I allow myself to have pizza once in a while (not on a regular basis), I feel like I am a "normal" person. Not perfect, just normal.
I also find that having this vice actually motivates me to stick to my dietary guidelines more regularly. I know that I can have a pizza when I want it... I just don't want it all the time and that means that I am in control (which is a good feeling).
The Starbucks Connection
The best example of a "lesser vice" that I've ever seen is one from my ex-wife. She replaced wine drinking & a smoking habit with Starbucks coffee as her primary vice when she saw the damage that the former was doing in her life. You have to respect someone who can make those types of significant changes in their life ... and I think having one primary vice is a good trade-off.

Eventually, I would like to say that I've eliminated all other vices from my life but for now... I'm making progress !
